Advertising

Certain parts of the austega.com site display commercial advertisements. These are located in the top banner area of a page or as graphical ad in the left side navigation bar.

The costs and conditions for advertising on this site are based on the following principles:

1. 468x60 pixel banner at page top costs A$30 set up and 1c per page view
2. 120x60 pixel block at page top or in left navigation side bar is A$30 set up and 0.5c per page view
3. Number of page views are based on latest month actual figures from the site statistics service - if actual for booked period is lower then booked period will be extended to compensate, if higher then no extra charge - statistics reports can be sent direct to you from the statistics service
4. Booked period must be at least three months and minimum payment is A$60, with discounts starting to apply for payments over A$120 - payment required in advance
5. Advertiser provides advertisement file - maximum file size 12k - Austega retains the right to reject any ad content without having to justify its decision - or ad can be prepared by Austega at an additional charge based on A$70 per hour

I have copied in some of my gifted page view statistics from August 2004 to give you an aindication of traffic levels.

So for example placing a 120x60 ad on the Gifted Resource index page would be A$30 plus A$11.25 per month.

Affiliate programs

Certain parts of the www.austega.com site display advertisements from affiliate programs. Clicking on these links and making purchases on the linked sites may lead to commissions being paid to Austega Pty Ltd.

Our policy on choosing affiliate programs is to select only those that are compatible with or add value to the information being displayed on the relevant web page. We do not want the affiliate programs to get in the way of the purpose of a browser's visit to our site - rather we want the programs to enhance the value that the browser receives. Austega is dedicated to protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information provided via use of our website.

Non-personally identifiable information is collected under statistics collected on the site's usage, which assists us in our maintenance and development. This can identify the IP address of the browsers visiting our site but does not identify names, email addresses or other personally identifiable information.

Personally identifiable information is only obtained by explicit use of forms or login screens. In this case only information necessary for the expressed purposes is collected and maintained. This information will not be released to any external parties unless we are legally compelled to do so by appropriate public authorities.

Where no automated capacity is offered on our website, we will delete any personally identifying information we may hold for a person on receipt of a request via the appropriate email address, or after other suitable form of identification.
