Theodor Johannes MOHR was born in 1725 in Ebersheim, Rheinland-Pfalz, in Germany. After his wife Barbara died, he married Dorothea HOSS and after her death, he married Katharina WUGER.
Their 4th son was Valentin MOHR, who was born in 1775 in Laubenheim. He married Anna Maria RANZENBERGER, and their son Henry was a winemaker who married Margaret KAPP. He emigrated to Australia in 1869. Henry and Margaret's son, John, emigrated to Australia around 1858. Although some of the family settled in the Macleay River area of NSW, John married Mary Mure PHILLIPS in 1861 in Maryborough in Queensland.
